team building The pace of change, conflicting demands, pressures from inside and out, certain excitement sounds familiar? This is sailing, not commerce; but it could be either. Sailing a large yacht in confined waters provides an ideal platform for demonstrating the results of working as a team. Theres too much to do to go it alone. A natural combination of technical and practical responsibilities enables participants to assess their own competencies and choose their preferred role. The teambuilding programme is best run over two days. Participants have a chance to try each activity, assimilate all the information and make an informed choice of their preferred role within the teams. They learn how they adjusted to a completely new environment and take away the experience to apply to their business. The highlight of the event is sailing a "racing course" in the Solent on Day 2. The Solent is excellent for this purpose with its array of sandbanks, shipping lanes and channel and racing buoys. The team needs to use all of its new found skills; setting and trimming sails, tacking, gybing, setting a course, allowing for tide and wind shifts, avoiding the shallows. The finish is in sight .. mission accomplished!
"A memorable bespoke fun event with real value for our team thanks to all the crew." |
